50 Knot Prayer Rope Handmade in Convent. The nuns of Vodoca Monastery in North Macedonia made these prayer ropes using natural wool from local sheep, and beads made from the natural pods of myrtle trees. Every knot is made of nine knots, which are tightened while whispering the noetic prayer, "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, the sinner."
